Learning to Learn, Learning to Think | SK Tan

Work

Learning to learn. Learning to think.

Every learner is different, so I’d rather talk first. These are the areas I work in. Get in touch and we’ll work out what fits.

Areas of work

  • For: Learners, students, professionals, parents

    Learning-to-Learn

How to learn with the brain in mind, so understanding comes faster and sticks longer. You walk away with ways to learn that you can use on your own.

  • For: Individuals, educators, teams

    Learning-to-Think

How exceptional learners and innovators think: association, visualisation, patterns, imagination, curiosity and creative thinking, made practical.

  • For: Individuals, educators, organisations

    Brain & Mind Management

Looking after how the brain and mind work, so you can learn, think and perform with more clarity.

  • For: Learners, schools, parents

    EasyType: brain-friendly keyboardingSignature method

A keyboarding method that helps the brain understand the keyboard first, instead of relying only on long hours of repetitive practice.

Signature method

EasyType

Instead of asking learners to spend hours repeating drills, EasyType helps the brain understand the keyboard first. Practice then has something to build on.

It’s my brain-friendly keyboarding methodology, and it was recognised at ITEX. It’s also the turning point that led me into learning, thinking and brain development: if typing could be simplified by changing how people learn, the same thinking could apply to memory, creativity and problem-solving.

Who I work with

Learners, parents, educators and organisations.

  • The adult learner & professional

    • You know how much you’re capable of, but learning new things takes more effort than it should
    • You want to think more clearly, remember more and solve problems with less strain
    • You want skills you actually use, not notes you never look at again
  • Parents & students

    • You’ve seen a bright learner struggle with the same material others find easy
    • You want to learn how to learn, not just study harder
    • You want confidence that comes from understanding, not from repetition alone
  • Educators, trainers & schools

    • You want learners to understand faster and keep what they learn
    • You’re looking for brain-friendly ways to teach and explain
    • You’d rather build independent thinkers than dependent followers
  • Organisations & HR teams

    • You want your people to learn, think and adapt better
    • You value clear, practical thinking over complicated frameworks
    • You want change that people can apply on their own
